Dear Annoying Geek Hipster on OKCupid:

The word gay when used to mean "mediocre", "bad", or "useless" is indeed derogatory. Not only that, it's rather juvenile and passé. Your posting of a link to a video on Richard Pryor and George Carlin using the n-word, is not analogous and doesn't change the above facts.

No love,

Me

comments

So, I'm getting really annoyed with itunes for various reasons, and I have a bunch of albums that I downloaded via emusic that I have in a separte folder outside my itunes folder. They are currently being played using Quicktime, but Quicktime doesn't really do playlists.

Does anyone know of any software that does playlists on the mac that isn't itunes? I realize I may be asking for something impossible, but I thought I'd ask.

There are some features of itunes that area really great, like being able to burn the cd right from it, but I don't expect any other program to have that. I have Roxio toast anyhow. I just need one that doesn't do things like completely screw up the folder arrangement of compilations.

comments

I have attempted to change the time of this entry to EDT, to no avail. But this is just part of the fact that I'll be slowly adapting to this service.

It will be a bit before I figure out what will go here and what will remain at lj. I'm not leaving lj entirely and don't expect anyone to choose other than what they prefer. But I do know that I should get the icon situation sorted out within a week, at any rate. Hopefully i'l be able to get the cat moods theme over here as well.

Anyhow, welcome to my Dreamwidth home!

comments
